A well written journey... Great book!! Real and raw... Shows a true journey of a women with a purpose... Inspiring and realistic!!
If you're one of those people who likes to root for the person who refuses to quit, and who not only perseveres but does so without ever losing their priorities and their sense of humanity and compassion, you're going to like this quick read. In today's tough times, this well written story will serve as a can-do spark for many.
McMahon tells these stories in the same way someone would relate them over a cup of coffee. As a writer myself, I was surprised at how well she managed to convey the tales in a manner of familiarity that invites you to become part of the story, or rather her story. From my understanding, the short stories are meant to be enjoyed one at a time and over the course of a cup of coffee, however I turned out be as much a glutton with McMahon's words as I am with the caffeinated beverage; I continued my consumption until there were none left, so much for moderation.
I recommend picking it up, and will be keeping an eye out for a sequel, should one come about. (I wonder, will it be called "the second cup & caffeine jitters?).
